Built in the mid-1970s, Essex House is a 12-floor condominium located at 707 S. Gulfstream Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34236. Our 75 units range from approximately 1000 sq/ft to over 2600 sq/ft.

The standard floor has four 2 BR/2BA units on the bayside as well as two 2BR/2BA, one 3 BR/2BA, and one 1BR/1-1/2BA units on the Palm Avenue (east) side of the building. All have a private balcony and individual laundry facilities.

There are two “panorama units” on the roof, each having spectacular 3-sided views of the bay and city, as well as private open terraces. A majority of the units have recently been modernized and the process continues.

Essex House is served by two elevators and has a spacious entry lobby. There is also a convenient mailroom/library centrally located on the first floor. The building is equipped with its own emergency generator, domestic water pumps and smoke and fire alarm systems.

Amenities include a cardroom, a gameroom with kitchen and saunas, and two floors of secure in-building parking. We are looking forward to completing an exercise room in the near future. Accessible from the east side of the building is a large 2nd-floor heated swimming pool, sun deck and shaded gazebo, as well as a pool shower.

We are administrated by a full-time resident manager and maintain a full-time superintendent.

Security is provided by a phone system at front and side entrances, and remote controlled gates provide entry to both garage floors. All access points to the building are monitored 24 hours/day by a state-of-the-art security camera system. Fresh landscaping as well as beautification of the interior common areas are constantly being undertaken.
